How your support will help

We’re just two dads who wanted to support our First Responders and the beautiful communities they serve.
Our goal is to provide first responders with tools to offer to children during service calls, which can be utilized as a distraction and also help children see police officers as friendly protectors instead of just enforcers of the law.

Every day, across thousands of communities, first responders encounter children facing traumatic experiences. There are countless challenges, but only one Kits4Kids.

Kits4Kids is an initiative that bridges the gap between first responders and the children ages 4-10 they meet in crisis. It transforms a moment of fear into one of comfort, fostering an emotional connection that lasts a lifetime.

Research shows that children exposed to trauma can experience long-term emotional and psychological effects if not properly supported. First responders are often the first to witness these moments — and with Kits4Kids, they now have a powerful tool to offer immediate comfort and care.

These specially designed mental wellness kits, created for children ages 4 to 10, provide reassurance during challenging times. Not only do they help children feel safer, but they also support the mental well-being of first responders by facilitating positive, meaningful interactions.

Each Kits4Kids package is thoughtfully assembled with items that research shows can help calm and distract children in traumatic situations. First responders and community members personally contribute to this effort, ensuring each kit serves its purpose.

With your continued support, we follow a simple yet impactful 3-Step Process:

Community Engagement — Identifying and organizing local volunteers and first responders to arrange and assemble the kits.

Material Procurement — Purchasing the necessary materials to create comforting and effective kits.

Team Building Events — Bringing together first responders and the community for collaborative events where kits are assembled and distributed.

This hands-on approach not only provides vital resources for children in crisis but also strengthens the bonds between first responders and the communities they serve.
